I was brought in by the lovely people over at Fancy House of Visual Effects to help design and animate a few different elements including social media inspired icons and laptop screens. The inspo for the icons came from the handmade look and feel of scouts badges, all entirely designed in After Effects.

In the end they had to cut back on the amount of icons used in the spot but these still were fun to explore.

The felt like textures were created using Fractal Noises and the threaded seams using Shape Layers, dimensionality creatED using Layer Styles.
